If you install a convertible top without a bag on a vehicle that had a bag in the soft top, you may find this phenomenon of pinch points on your BMW E36 again after a while. That's why you should stick with the soft top version with pocket if you have such a soft top on your car. 

Design:

• The convertible tops for your BMW E36 from our company are equipped with mounting strips, so that you only have to screw the BMW convertible top as with the original
• The mounting points are therefore fixed

Convertible top window:

• A window film approved for the original convertible top is used for the BMW E36 convertible top. The corresponding test number is embossed. The window has the original thickness
• We weld the window piping to the film pane. This prevents moisture from seeping through. (A quality advantage that you cannot see)
• The rear window is sewn in with an internal window frame with an exactly parallel double seam

• Improved scratch resistance of the windscreen surface can be achieved simply by repeated polishing with a good, simple acrylic car polish

• For this type of BMW vehicle, it is necessary to check the tensioning straps between the soft top and the frame, as the rubber bands on the tensioning straps slacken after a few years
• These tensioning straps must be replaced on the convertible version of the soft top with electric drive on your BMW E36. This is the only way to ensure the necessary folding function when opening the soft top
• The rubber seal on the front edge of the convertible top only needs to be replaced if it is porous
• Please also note that your new BMW E36 soft top does not yet have any folding points in the bends of the soft top linkage. This means that the soft top linkage has to exert more force to fold the soft top when it is opened. If your soft top linkage already has a lot of play in the joints due to wear, the new soft top may not open quickly at first. You should then allow the soft top a certain training phase and help it until the folding points are acclimatised
• Pay attention to the convertible top version of your BMW E36 with regard to the side pocket. If you do not have an original soft top on your car, we will give you tips on which version you should have. You should be able to give us details of the side linkage.
