Please check the following before ordering:

• With this type of BMW vehicle, it is necessary to check the tensioning straps between the convertible top and the frame, as the rubber straps on the tensioning straps slacken after a few years.
• On the convertible top with an electric drive, these tension belts must be replaced on the convertible version of your BMW E36. Only then is the necessary folding function secured when opening the top.
• The rubber seal on the front edge of the convertible top only needs to be replaced if it is porous.
• Please also note that your new BMW E36 convertible top does not yet have any folds in the bends of the convertible top frame. As a result, the top frame has to use more force to fold the top when it is opened. If your convertible top linkage has already largely developed joint play due to wear, it may be that the new convertible top does not open quickly at the beginning. You should then allow the convertible top a certain training phase and help until the folds are used to it.
